    Soprano Anya Fidelia has established a dynamic multi-faceted career as an international Opera Singer, Voice Teacher, as well as a Russian Lyric Diction and Repertoire Coach.

    Ms. Fidelia’s extensive teaching affiliations include, but are not limited to: Mannes College of Music and Mannes Prep Faculty (present); Metropolitan Opera Guild Education Department; InterHarmony International Festival (Arcidosso, Italy); Art November International Festival (Moscow, Russia) and many other. Past affiliations as a Voice faculty include Queens College Prep, International Vocal Arts Institute Outreach Program, 92Y School of Music, Church Street School for Music and Art (TriBeCa, New York).

    As a Russian Lyric Diction, Language and Repertoire specialist and coach, Ms. Fidelia has enjoyed professional affiliations with The Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Program, Mannes Opera, Caramoor Festival Apprentice Program amongst other.

    Ms. Fidelia maintains a thriving private Voice Studio in New York City, enjoying work with professional and pre-professional singers. She is also the founder of “College-bound: Conservatory Admissions for Singers” consulting studio, focusing on preparing and guiding her clients through all aspects of competitive conservatory admission process while aiding in identifying the optimal conservatory program to bridge the individual needs of each aspiring young artists with their future professional success.

    As an Opera Singer, Ms. Fidelia enjoys repertoire that includes the leading Soprano roles, such as Verdi’s Leonora in La Forza del Destino and Il Trovatore; Mascagni’s Santuzza (Cavaleria Rusticana); Tchaikovsky’s Tatyana (Eugene Onegin); Poulenc’s Blanche de la Force (The Dialogues of the Carmelites); Georgetta (Il Tabarro); Mimi in La Boheme as well as the title roles of Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Butterfly and Tosca to name a few.

    Currently, Ms. Fidelia is embarking on the dramatic Verdian and Verismo Soprano repertoire roles: Lady Macbeth (Macbeth); Amelia (Un Ballo); Elizabetta (Don Carlo); the title role of Turandot (Puccini), Lisa (Pique Dame, Tchaikovsky); La Gioconda (Ponchielli); Maddalena /Andrea Chenier (Giordano); Adriana Lecouvreur (Cilea).

    Ms. Fidelia’s domestic and international engagements highlights include performances at Carnegie Hall, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall and Moscow International House of Music (Дом Музыки), Beacon Theater on Broadway, New York City; the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia; New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv; Centro de Bellas Artes in Puerto-Rico, as well as numerous appearances for the Metropolitan Opera Guild, U.S. Tour for PBS Television Special "Romantic Journey" with one of Russia's leading crossover stars Nikolai Baskov. A frequent performer at the Carnegie Weil Recital Hall, Ms. Fidelia's recital repertoire is extensive and diverse.

    Ms. Fidelia has also recorded for film. Credits include soundtracks for the Tribeca Film Festival award winning film, "Jack Smith and the Destruction of Atlantis", and the Cannes Festival award winning documentary “Bye-bye, Babushka!”.

    Ms. Fidelia is a proud Mannes alumna, where she has earned MM and PSD degrees in Vocal Performance. She received her BA in Choral Conducting with minor in Piano Performance from Schnidtke College of Music in her native Moscow, Russia and her second BA degree, professional Registration and Certification in Music Therapy (CMT, RMT) from SUNY at Fredonia. Ms. Fidelia has also studied Piano Performance at Sergei Prokofiev School of Music and is a trained Dalcroze method specialist.

    Ms. Fidelia has been fortunate to train with the world renown mentors of classical vocal arts: Joan Dornemann, Vladimir Chernov, Olga Chernov, Renata Scotto, Regina Resnik, Will Crutchfield, Beth Roberts, and Nico Casel. She received intensive training with the International Vocal Arts Institute (IVAI) in Israel, Puerto-Rico, Canada and France, and was honored to be a scholarship recipient there.

    A recipient of multiple awards and scholarships, Ms. Fidelia was selected as a National Auditions Finalist by the Lyric Opera of Chicago and SantaFe Opera. She is a prizewinner at the Liederkranz Foundation Award Competition, and the Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges in addition to numerous other vocal honors, awards and mentions. Ms. Fidelia is a Blue Print Fellow, a COJECO Fellowship Grant recipient, and a proud mother of two very musical children.
