  • The Graduate Certificate in Media Management provides a strong foundation of management principles and leadership skills for business professionals working or expecting to find work in the ever-changing global media landscape. The curriculum includes courses in industry perspectives, management and leadership, media economics, information technologies, competitive strategies, and corporate responsibility, and specialized classes in the businesses of film, music, and social media. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

  • Career Paths

    Certificate holders are prepared to work on the management side of communications industries, in areas including production management, technology development, marketing, consulting, and entrepreneurship.

    Some students also continue their graduate studies in pursuit of a master's or PhD degree. Students who complete this certificate and apply for and are admitted to the MA in Media Studies or the MS in Media Management can transfer all credits from the certificate, provided that they earned grades of B or better in the courses.
