Graduate Admissions Events

The Office of Admission offers in-person and online appointments for prospective applicants and family members who would like to meet individually with an admission counselor to identify best-fit programs and discuss the admission process. 

Graduate and AAS Appointments

We invite prospective students to join us for a scheduled online chat, webinar, or Information Session. These online events feature Admission staff, current students, alumni, and/or faculty.

Student-led campus tours introduce visitors to our academic facilities. Student housing is not included. Only those with appointments will be able to tour campus. 

Graduate Programs Campus Tours are 60-minute student-led campus tours that introduce visitors to the graduate academic facilities at Parsons School of Design and The New School for Social Research. These tours provide a broad overview of campus buildings used by graduate students at The New School. Those seeking a more focused introduction to a particular area of study are encouraged to connect directly with program chairs or faculty. 

We limit registrants to one guest to provide the best overall experience for visitors and accommodate the maximum number of prospective students on our tours. Many of our facilities, including elevators and hallways, cannot accommodate large groups. If not fully booked, we may allow more than one guest to join a tour at the guide's discretion. We appreciate your understanding.

These are open fairs for prospective graduate students, which New School Admission representatives attend. These events allow you to connect with our team—virtually or in person—as well as representatives from other higher education institutions without the need to travel to campus.

National Portfolio Review Days are annual events held in multiple locations across the United States. They are designed to provide a unique opportunity for you to meet individually with professional representatives of accredited colleges and universities and receive valuable feedback and guidance on your portfolio before you submit it as part of your application.

Workshops and master classes are educational sessions designed to give prospective students the opportunity to interact with the faculty of teaching artists and with students at the College of Performing Arts.
