Quick Facts About Private Loans
- Most lenders require a creditworthy U.S. co-signer.
- Once you have been approved for a private loan, your lender will notify the Financial Aid Office, which will certify your loan.
- Lenders will disburse loan funds to The New School after a mandatory right-to-cancel period has elapsed, which can be up to ten business days from the time a loan is certified.
- Any funds remaining after your loan has been applied to the balance due on your account will be refunded to you directly by the Office of Student Accounts.
