• Registered students are automatically charged for student health insurance. Students who want to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) need to complete an enrollment form on the University Health Plans website. The enrollment and waiver forms for the 2025–2026 school year will be available beginning May 1. We recommend submitting the enrollment form at least two weeks before the date the plan begins (which is August 20) to ensure that your enrollment is complete and your insurance ID card is available by the start date of the plan. The deadline to submit an enrollment or waiver form for fall 2025 is September 9, 2025.

    2025–2026 School Year

    • The fall semester coverage period is August 20, 2025, through January 14, 2026. The spring semester coverage period is January 15 to August 19, 2026.
    • If you elect to enroll in the SHIP in the fall, you will be automatically enrolled in the spring semester, provided you are a registered student in the spring. If you are not registered in the spring, your insurance coverage will automatically terminate at the end of the fall semester coverage period (January 14). Please note that a delay with your spring registration may cause a delay with your spring health insurance enrollment.
    • If you graduate in the fall 2025 semester, your insurance coverage will terminate on January 14, 2026. You (and any enrolled dependents) will not be eligible for insurance coverage for the spring 2026 semester, since you will not be a registered student in the spring.

    2024–2025 School Year

    • The fall semester coverage period is August 20, 2024, through January 14, 2025. The spring semester coverage period is January 15 through August 19, 2025.
    • The student health insurance enrollment deadline has passed for the 2024–2025 school year; however, students who experience a Qualifying Event, such as involuntary loss of personal health insurance coverage, can ask to enroll in the student health insurance plan within 30 days of losing coverage. For more information, contact University Health Plans at [email protected] or 833.251.1129.
    • If you are graduating in the spring 2025 semester, your student health insurance coverage will be active through August 19, 2025.
