• Students are charged the student health insurance fee after registering for classes. This charge does not mean you are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). To enroll, you must complete an enrollment form on the University Health Plans website each school year before the posted deadlines. 

    If you were enrolled in the SHIP in fall 2025, your coverage continued automatically in spring 2026 as long as you were registered for the spring 2026 semester. You don't need to complete another enrollment form this academic year.

    2025–2026 School Year

    • Fall semester coverage period: August 20, 2025–January 14, 2026
    • Spring semester coverage period: January 15–August 19, 2026

    PLEASE NOTE: If you graduate in the spring 2026 semester, your insurance coverage will be active through August 19, 2026.

    Special Enrollment Because of a Qualifying Life Event

    Students who waive the SHIP and experience an involuntary loss of coverage because of a Qualifying Life Event during the academic year can enroll in the SHIP for a prorated premium. Contact University Health Plans for enrollment assistance at [email protected] or 833.251.1129.
