Students who wish to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan must submit an online enrollment form. All eligible students are charged for the plan upon course registration.
The deadline to submit an enrollment or waiver form for the fall 2024 semester was September 9, 2024; it was later extended to September 30, 2024. The enrollment and waiver forms for new spring students will be available in early December at universityhealthplans.com/tns.
2024–2025 School Year
- The fall semester coverage period is August 20, 2024, to January 14, 2025. The spring semester coverage period is January 15 to August 19, 2025.
- When you elect to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan in the fall, you will be automatically enrolled in the spring semester, provided you are a registered student in the spring. If you enroll in the fall, you do not need to submit another
enrollment form in the spring. If you are not registered in the spring, your insurance coverage will automatically terminate at the end of the fall semester coverage period (January 14).
- If you graduate in the fall semester, your insurance coverage will terminate on January 14. You (and any enrolled dependents) will not be eligible for insurance coverage for the spring semester, since you will not be a registered student in the spring.
- If you waive the student health insurance but experience a Qualifying Event (QE), such as loss of your personal health insurance coverage, you can request to enroll in the student health insurance plan within 30 days of losing your coverage.
