All studentd admitted to the MA in General Psychology are eligible for the CTSAB. However, students apply separately for the CTSAB after having been admitted to and registered for MA courses.
To apply to the CTSAB, students must submit the CTSAB enrollment form, which is made available during the first few weeks of the Introduction to Substance Use Counseling course, by October 1.
Students may express interest in second-year field placements (“externships”) during their first year in the MA program. Field placements are not guaranteed for every student who wishes to be considered. Site availability, student academic performance, and student readiness are factors in determining externship opportunities. Students who wish to pursue fieldwork must have successfully completed Adult Psychopathology, Psychopathology III, Introduction to Substance Use Counseling, and Advanced Issues in Substance Use Counseling, earning a grade of B or above, before beginning an externship.
Qualified seniors in the Bachelor's-Master's program at Eugene Lang College (those who have already taken psychology courses) may register for the courses in the CTSAB curriculum, subject to normal restrictions and with permission from course instructors.
It is extremely important that students consult with student advisors and review the CTSAB handbook before registering for any of the courses offered in the CTSAB. Email the CTSAB with any questions.
