    Charles Henry Allison, Jr., Associate Professor of Professional Practice, Public and Urban Policy Program; Milano School of Policy, Management and Environment with focus on finance, accounting and financial management, entrepreneurship, impact investing, sustainability, urban policy analysis and management, leadership and infrastructure.

    Academic Focus

    My research and teaching interests include business administration, finance, management, entrepreneurship, strategy, and leadership development. I enthusiastically support initiatives exploring the integration of Generative AI in higher education pedagogy and its implications for the future of work.

    Investment Banking, Risk Evaluation, Direct Private Market Investing, and Foundation Investing. Specialized work includes:

    • Impact investing and sustainability finance
    • State and local economic development initiatives
    • Renewable energy project development (biodiesel, wind, and solar)
    • Electricity generation solutions for housing

     

    Global Experience

    Commitment to sustainable development—Johannesburg, South Africa (1993 through 1998), provided support South Africa’s post-apartheid transition via a pan-African investment management company and a middle-market private equity fund.
